1. Who we are
operates FitSocial. For privacy questions or requests, contact .
2. Information we collect
FitSocial collects information needed to provide the social fitness product:
- Account information: Google account identity data such as name, email address, profile image, user ID, and authentication records.
- Profile and fitness information: bio, Personal Bests, Journey photos, captions, prompt answers, Stories, squad information, and related timestamps.
- Health and activity information: when you choose to connect Android Health Connect, FitSocial reads eligible exercise sessions and route information to import supported workouts. FitSocial does not write data back to Health Connect.
- Location information: device location is used to support the Discover experience. FitSocial stores a coarse approximately one-kilometre cell only, requires explicit opt-in, and does not store exact latitude or longitude in the public profile.
- Social and communications information: follows, friend requests, blocks, squad membership, messages, reports, story views, notifications, and read receipts.
- Device information: platform details and push-notification tokens when notifications are enabled.
- Website waitlist information: your email address and consent timestamp when you request a launch notification.
3. How we use information
We use information to authenticate accounts, display profiles and training content, match people within the opt-in Discover experience, import and display workouts, operate messaging and squads, send requested notifications, moderate reports, secure the service, respond to support requests, and notify waitlist subscribers when the app launches. We do not sell personal information or use health and location data for advertising.
4. Location and Discover privacy
Discover is disabled unless you opt in. The mobile app sends a bounded coarse cell to the authenticated service, not an exact public coordinate. Results contain broad whole-kilometre labels and are limited, block-aware, and rate-limited. Disabling Discover clears the stored location cell. Your exact location is not shown on a public profile.
5. Health Connect
Health Connect access is optional and read-only. If you grant permission, FitSocial reads supported exercise sessions and, where available, route data so it can create an activity record. You can revoke permission through Android settings. Health information is used only for the requested fitness features and is not sold or used for advertising.
6. User content and visibility
Profiles, Personal Bests, Journey content, squads, and other social features may be visible to authenticated users according to the product settings and relationship rules. Stories are visible to their author and followers while active. Direct messages are limited to participants and squad messages to members. Messages are protected in transit and by access controls, but they are not end-to-end encrypted. Public media URLs can be copied by someone who has access to them.
7. Service providers
FitSocial uses service providers to operate the product, including Supabase for authentication, database, Realtime, Edge Functions, and scheduled jobs; Google for Sign-In and Android Health Connect; Cloudflare for media delivery and authenticated uploads; Mapbox for maps and route matching; Expo Push Service for requested notifications; and Vercel for this website. Providers process information under their own terms and applicable agreements.
8. Retention and deletion
Stories are designed to expire after 24 hours and direct messages are scheduled for deletion after 30 days. Other content remains until you delete it, an administrator removes it for a policy reason, or a documented retention schedule applies. To request access, correction, export, or deletion, email from the address associated with your account.
9. Security
FitSocial uses encrypted transport, row-level access controls, least-privilege service boundaries, coarse location storage, rate limits, block-aware queries, and server-side authorization. No online service can guarantee absolute security. If you believe your account or information is at risk, contact us promptly.
10. Children
FitSocial is not directed to children. The final service terms will state the minimum account age that applies before public registration opens. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
11. Changes
We may update this policy as FitSocial changes. We will update the effective date and provide additional notice when required by law. This version is dated .
